Junior Summer Golf Classes
My first Junior Golf Class of the summer was absolutely fantastic and, should you be interested, there is a second week booked which runs between Tuesday 26th August to Friday 29th August inclusive.
Each day begins at 9am and lasts until 10:45am and is a great way for kids to get some good, old-fashioned fresh air and exercise! So, if you'd like your child/grandchild to participate, please stop by the Pro Shop, collect a form and return it with your cheque. But please hurry because I only have one or two spaces left!
New club logoed iPad covers
I now have in stock a really lovely iPad cover. These new items come in a really lovely nubuck colour and will protect your iPad whilst making it look really smart at the same time and they're very reasonably priced at £29.99 . Please come into the Pro Shop and take a look.
New club logoed accessories
And if you haven't already seen my fantastic new club logoed holdalls and shoe bags, please come in to the Pro Shop and take a look. And on top of that, I have some terrific new club logoed "micro-fibre" towels which are made of a waffle texture, hold up to 300% of their weight in moisture and are non-abrasive. And on top of that, they can really keep your clubs and equipment clean!
I don’t know about you but the regular “lead-acid” batteries don’t seem to last very long these days, so the answer is simple: a brand new lithium battery. These batteries are so good in so many ways and the benefits over a lead-acid are numerous, such as, they will recharge in about three hours, you will get about five times more life out of a lithium than a lead-acid, they’re more powerful and they’re incredibly light! And at £199.99 , they will also come with a brand new charger and a fantastic two year unlimited warranty and a five year limited warranty. So for further details, please pop into the Pro Shop.
SkyCaddie SGX for sale
And finally this week, I have a SkyCaddie SGX GPS unit that has been used once and I need to clear this unit from stock. This unit has lovely features such as Intelligreen Technology, Target Lists and Interactive Hole Vue and normally retails for £299.99 but I'm happy to accept £225 just to clear the decks.
'Fail to prepare, prepare to fail'
This phrase is so important in golf for a number of reasons but today I am going to apply it to keeping your clubs clean. I know it's hard to keep on top of, especially when we all lead such busy lives but if you could just take 10 minutes the night before you hit the course just to scrub your clubs down you will notice a big difference. It's very simple you just get warm soapy water and an old toothbrush and clean the grooves and all around the club face. Also it pays once a month to clean your grips, you will get much better feel and they will last longer. This is just as simple as with the club face just get warm soapy water and then scrub the grip with the soap suds leave it for a couple of minutes then dry with a towel. Clean grooves will promote a better contact with the ball and will help keep control around the greens. Make sure after every shot you wipe your club down with you towel this will help in the long run. We also sell groove cleaners in the shop which are great out on the course to keep the club face clean. So this weekend try and give your clubs a bit of TLC and see if you feel a difference.
